Support Avant Media

Welcome to the new Avant Media

Avant Media’s mission is to support the production and performance of collaborative artistic projects and promote a method of parallel collaboration that engages all members of the creative team from concept through realization. Avant Media was founded in 2003 by composer Randy Gibson and filmmaker Ana Baer-Carrillo with the goal of presenting their works, building a community of artists interested in cross-discipline collaboration, and providing these artists with a platform to present their work in a focused environment.

Avant Media relies primarily on donations from passionate champions of the avant-garde like to you for its support. Without you, the inventive and technologically demanding programming we present would not be possible.

Since 2010, Avant Media has produced the annual Avant Music Festival curated by Gibson and experimental vocalist Megan Schubert. Each year the festival presents the work of the great luminary of 20th century experimental music, John Cage, and the ever-evolving immersive multimedia experience that is Gibson’s Apparitions of The Four Pillars. Each year two additional composers are selected to develop their own personal full evening of work in collaboration with the festival curators and performers.

Your gift of any amount ensures the future of Avant Media. In addition to a tax deduction, donors have access to exclusive Avant Media content and merchandise, both online and off. Donors receive free tickets and preferred seating, as well as pre-sale ticket options and access to invite-only functions and receptions.
