Shiver the collaboration between Randy Gibson and Oscar Henriquez will receive its European premiere as an installation at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt on Thursday, July 17th during the 44. Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt (IMD) as part of the Nachtclub mit Fenster curated by Manos Tsangaris.
Also being performed is Randy Gibson’s new work Light Study #1 for amplified lighting written specifically for the project.
The 2006 masterclass in Morelia was a great success. The students created two short pieces with choreographic assistance from Ana Baer-Carrillo and Dani Beauchamp, and performed them on October 27, 2006 with new music written by Randy Gibson performed live by music students at the university.

Jetta, the dance and spoken word performance by Dani Beauchamp, with video by Ana Baer-Carrillo, will be rescored by Mike Rugnetta and Randy Gibson. The new version of “Jetta” will receive its premiere in Morelia, Mexico, October 25, 2006.
The masterclass in Morelia, Mexico will take place October 23-28, 2006 at the Universidad Michoacana. In addition to classes and lectures, Gibson and Baer-Carrillo will be premiering a section of Anger and working on new collaborative work with the university’s artists. There are also plans for a showcase performance. A full schedule of events should be posted in the next few weeks, as details are firmed up with the university.
The Max/MSP patch to be used for Anger was completed at the Centre de Création Musicale Iannis Xenakis (CCMIX) in Paris over the month of July. Special thanks go to Stefan Tiedje for his extremely valuable assistance. We are looking forward to rehearsing with the computer.
