On a bitterly cold evening in January, 2007, Avant Media presented its first full-scale production, Anger, to a sold-out audience at 20 Greene Gallery in SoHo, NYC. A massive collaboration spearheaded by the composer Randy Gibson, Anger involved the participation of over 20 artists over the course of three years.
Anger was performed live by Randy Gibson, Mike Rugnetta and Laine Rettmer with a pre-show sound environment by Rugnetta, sculptural installations and projection surfaces by Alicia Wargo, text elements by Oscar Henriquez, and 4 large-scale video pieces by Ana Baer-Carrillo.
A reception was held following the performance in honor of the launch of Avant Media in New York City.
