A short film by Ana Baer-Carrillo and Randy Gibson: 11 minutes
Mujeres de Juárez is an intimate film about the unsolved murders plaguing the border town of Juárez, Mexico since the mid 90s. The film reflects the sorrow and violence through poetic imagery and a juxtaposition of textures. The music, sung by one singer, and densely layered, supports this juxtaposition and brings it inside the self.
